Mt. Washington, Mt. Eisenhower, and Mt. Monroe – 2021-07-10
Destination: Mt. Washington, Mt. Eisenhower, and Mt. Monroe
Trails: Crawford Path and Boott Spur Trail
Hike Date: 2021-07-10
The trail is very well maintained. Trekking pole is recommended since the climb and descend can be very steep and slippery when wet. Hiker can summit Mt. Eisenhower, Mt. Monroe, then Mt. Washington. It can be an one day out and back trip for strong hikers, from trail head to Summit of Mt. Washington then back. It can also be a two day trip, summit Mt. Washington, back to Lake of the Cloud Hut to stay over night, then get up and walk 0.6 miles to the ridge to watch the sunrise, then come back. Also to stay overnight, Hermit Lake Shelters on east side of the mountain shall be a cheaper option. I stayed at Lake of the Cloud, then descended to Pinkham Notch Visitor Center and took a shuttle back to Highland Center.
Parking & Road Access:
Parking at AMC Highland Center. The Crawford Path trail head is across the street.
