Destination: Mt Jackson
Trails: Webster-Jackson Trail
Hike Date: 2019-12-21
A small layer of fluffy snow over hard packed. At some points the trail was pure ice covered by a thin layer of fluffy snow.
I used micro spikes the whole hike, as did most everyone else I saw. At the top the snow was slightly deeper which added some challenge.
Everything looked good to me! The trail was easy to follow.
Parking & Road Access:
I got there pretty early (6:45) and there was one parked car. By the time I got done (10:30) the lot was full and cars had started lining up on the side of the road.
At the very top there were some icy patches that were a little treacherous, but manageable. Saw a couple cute and chubby birds up top that hung out with me while I enjoyed the incredible view.
