Took the Garfield Trail from the trailhead. Typical mud season hike….lots of mud and running water. About the last 1/4 mile from the summit there was snow/monorail. Used microspikes which helped greatly. There were some icy patches as well. On the way down went to checkout the campsite and the descent was very icy/snow and used micro’s again. The campsite was clear of any snow/mud and dry. The water crossings were fine but you’ll have to navigate the rocks across.
Trekking Poles, Microspikes
Some trees across the trail (about 3 as I recall) that will need a maintenance crew to remove.
