Franconia Loop – 2024-06-15

Destination: Franconia Loop
Trails: Falling Waters, Franconia Ridge, Greenleaf Trail, Old Bridle
Hike Date: 2024-06-15

Conditions:
All water crossings atbthe start of Falling Waters were easily rock hoppable. Trails were dry for the most part until hitting the area approaching the hut but the mud there was avoidable. A beautiful day and the volunteers are doing a great job with the trail renovations. Thank you!

Equipment:
Hiked with my Osprey daylight plus pack and My Keen boots. Got a good opportunity to try my new Burgeon Flume base layer and Highlander Hoodie. The hoodie was great on the ridge ans really kept me warm with lower temps and 40 mph winds

Trail Maintenance:
No issues. Thank you for your hard work!

Parking & Road Access:
Parked at trailhead early and their were only a handful of cars. Parking lot was packed when I got back to my truck.

Comments:
I was worried about the black flies before starting my hike but was left alone by them this time.
